A World Health Organization (WHO) team has arrived in China to investigate the origin of the corona virus. The team arrived in Wuhan, China, on Thursday after months of talks between China and the WHO.

A team of ten scientists will conduct interviews with people from various research institutes, hospitals and fish markets.The corona virus has been spreading from Wuhan, China since December 2019. According to the BBC, the team will begin the investigation after the two-week quarantine period.Team leader Peter Ben Embrack said it was a long journey to find out what really happened.
He said it was not possible to know everything at an early stage. The WHO has expressed interest in conducting research in China on how the corona virus spread. Initially, China was adamant that it would not allow WHO researchers to enter the country. China said on Saturday it would allow the researchers.The WHO has said it wants to investigate the spread of corona infection from the Chinese city of Wuhan. Chen Isin, director of China’s National Health Commission, said on Saturday that he had “authorized the World Health Organization (WHO) to investigate.”

He reiterated China’s readiness to fully assist in the investigation into the origin of the Covid-19 in China. “After World Health Organization researchers informed us about their program and agenda for this research, our research officers are ready to go to Wuhan with them,” he said.
