The Janata Samajwadi Party and the Nepal Loktantrik Party (Shivlal Thapa group) have united. The party unity was declared at a ceremony held at the hall of Tulsilal Amatya Pratisthan in Lalitpur on Sunday afternoon.

Speaking on the occasion, JSP Chairman Upendra Yadav said that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli himself was not clear on the reason for dissolving the parliament. Yadav said that Oli had started claiming that the House of Representatives was dissolved due to a dispute within the party.

Yadav described the dissolution of the House of Representatives as a regression. Mahanta Thakur, Rajendra Mahato and others addressed the program.
