Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will arrive in Dang on Monday. He will inaugurate a concrete bridge over the Rapti River in Deukhuri, the permanent capital of Lumbini province. Oli will also address the party’s ‘large cadre gathering and public meeting’ in Dang on Monday.

Hukum Basnet, district chairman of the CPN-Oli group, informed that the bridge will be inaugurated at 12 noon and a public meeting will be held at Lalmatiya at 1 pm.The construction of the bridge connecting Chhotki Sisahaniya of Rapti Municipality and Mahdeva of Gadhwa Municipality was completed four months ahead of schedule. The bridge is 860 meters long and 10 and a half meters wide. The agreement was to complete the bridge, which cost about one billion rupees, within four years.

In the absence of a bridge, boats had to take risks to cross Sisahaniya-Mahdeva. With the construction of the bridge in Rapti, it has become easier for the people of Deukhuri to travel. Along with Prime Minister Oli, Minister for Physical Infrastructure Basanta Nemwang and Lumbini Chief Minister Shankar Pokhrel will also participate in the program, said Basnet.
