Saptari – 32 film unions have announced that they will not work with Indian director Ram Gopal Varma. According to Pinkvilla, the Federation of Western Cine Employees, FWICE, has decided not to work with him.

Ram Gopal, who has directed dozens of Hindi, Telugu and Kannada language films, has been accused of not paying his film crew and workers. The decision was taken by the federation as he did not pay Rs 12.5 million to the workers. According to Bien Tiwari, president of the federation, general secretary Ashok Dubey, treasurer Gangeshwar Lal Srivastava and director Ram Gopal Varma have already received legal information. Director Ram Gopal Varma did not respond to the notice and did not pay the remaining fees. The Federation had written to Director Ram Gopal on September 17, 2020. In which an order was issued to remit the remaining amount of the entire technical team. Even before this, the federation had corresponded many times. But Pinkvilla wrote that Ram Gopal did not receive the letters. Ram Gopal Corona had gone to Goa to shoot the film at the time of the epidemic. “We also sent a letter to the Goa Chief Minister on September 10, 2020 in this regard.We want Ram Gopal Varma to pay the remaining amount to the entire technical team, artists and workers, ‘said Bien Tiwari, president of the federation,’ but he did not. So we have decided not to work with him in the future. We have informed the Motion Picture Producers Association of India (IMPPA) and the Producers Guild of India.

Director Ram Gopal won the Best Director award for the film ‘Satya’ in 1998, ‘Jungle’ in 2000, ‘Company’ in 2002, and ‘Ghost’ in 2003. He started directing in Telugu films and is now directing in Hindi and Kannada.
