Chief of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City Vidya Sundar Shakya has said that he will give real information about the reconstruction of Kamalpokhari by holding a press conference soon.

Addressing the 8th Municipal Council of Kathmandu Metropolitan City today, he said, “We are ready to give the truth even if the contractor company has done wrong in the course of work.”He claimed that the reconstruction work was carried out with the consent of the then federal MP Gagan Thapa, state MP, old experts of the area, senior citizens and local organizations.He said, ‘Reconstruction work has to be completed by now. We had repeatedly instructed the contractor company to complete the work on time, but now it has been obstructed by various allegations.

Shakya said archeology had not ordered them to stop work. He added, “Archeology is to coordinate with us by sending us a letter. It’s wrong to inform the media before we do, so we’re drawing their attention to that. ”
