Baitadi: Demonstrations have taken place in Baitadi on Sunday demanding justice for Bhagarathi Bhatt, 17, of Chadepani in Dogadakedar village municipality-7 of Baitadi.
Students and locals have protested in different places of the district.

During the protest, they demanded immediate arrest of the culprits, saying that Bhagarathi was killed after being raped.During the demonstration at the district headquarters, a large rally was held at Shahilek, Gothalapani Bazaar. They said, “Government needs an answer, why has rape increased?”, “Hang the killer, murder and violence for how long?” We were silent for as long as possible. Locals along with students and teachers tied black bandages on their heads and arms and demanded justice.Nirmala Ter, a student of Jagannath Multipurpose Campus, who participated in the demonstration, said that her protest programs will continue till the culprits of the incident are arrested.

Similarly, in Patan municipality of the district, students and locals had come to the streets to demand justice for Bhagarathi.
