Kathmandu – Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) Vice Chairman Bamdev Gautam has called on Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.
Gautam, who arrived in Baluwatar on Friday afternoon to meet Prime Minister Oli, is said to have proposed to move ahead with the party unity campaign after the Supreme Court’s decision.According to sources in Valuwatar, there has been no concrete discussion on Gautam’s proposal. Prime Minister Oli has not responded to Gautam’s proposal.Prime Minister Oli today removed Chief Whip Dev Gurung and appointed Vishal Bhattarai.Though the CPN (Maoist) was politically divided after Prime Minister Oli’s move to dissolve the House of Representatives on April 19, Gautam had announced a party unity campaign.
Gautam, who had demanded the resignation of the Prime Minister after the Supreme Court’s decision, had met Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda only on Thursday and asked him to create an environment for Oli to leave with dignity.
