– A man has been arrested from Tribhuvan International Airport with 50 rounds of ammunition used in a pistol. Badrihang Rai, 20, of Mechinagar-2 in Jhapa has been arrested with a 9mm pistol.

He was on his way to Bhadrapur on a 12:35 flight of Shree Airlines when he was arrested with a bullet during a security check, said SP Dan Bahadur Malla of the Airport Security Office.During the security check, 50 rounds of ammunition were recovered from Rai during further investigation.According to SP Malla, Rai’s father is a retired Deputy Inspector of Nepal Police. It has been revealed that he lived in rural areas during the armed conflict.According to SP Malla, a bullet was found in his pocket when he ordered an old jacket left in Kathmandu. It is said that the bullet may have been placed in the jacket during the conflict.

Rai has been sent to Gaushala Metropolitan Police Circle for legal action, police said. DSP Dinesh Ghimire of the Airport Security Office said that further investigation is underway on the arrested Rai.
